As a Site Payments Project Manager you will provide management of studies to ensure project deliverables and targets are met according to the highest quality standards. This role liaises with internal teams to provide payment status updates and identifies and resolves risks & issues. Acts as primary liaison with functional lead (Project Lead, Clinical Team Manager) and assists in contract modification development.

A day in the Life:

  • Provides study management, ensuring that individual project targets are met and services are provided according to the highest quality standards, policies and procedures.
  • Plans and communicates to team members study specific tasks and priorities for projects
  • Works with team to identify risks, build mitigation/action plans & brings up project risks appropriately.
  • Provides study status updates
  • Analyzes and interprets various financial reports and monitors project finances. Works with Project Lead on contract modifications
  • Ensures project is appropriately resourced, using required tools & processes
  • Acts as primary liaison with functional lead (Project Lead, Clinical Team Manager)
  • Trains study teams on site payment processes
  • Generates reports for study-level KPIs and metrics; evaluates and interprets data. Raises performance issues to management.
  • Attends internal team meetings and provides updates on payment statuses.
  • Manages escalations (project team, site and sponsor) regarding payment issues.
  • Mentors and trains junior team members.

Keys to Success:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification

Experience

  • Proven knowledge of Site Payments SOPs & WPDs, processes, and technology. General understanding of business and financial principles related to Site Payments.
  • Solid understanding of the key principles of project management (time, quality, and cost), including solid financial competence

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Good organizational and negotiation skills
  • Proven attention to detail
  • Capable of prioritising multiple time critical tasks efficiently and effectively
  • Flexible and able to prioritize workload to meet changing project needs
  • Proven digital literacy, proficient in MS Word and Excel and CTMS, EDC or financial systems
  • Experience of working in a project matrix structure
  • Capable of mentoring and coaching others
  • Effective communication skills, which includes English language (oral, written), presentation skills and other languages would be an advantage.
  • Demonstrate a customer focused style of communication, problem solving and teamwork, including establishing clear communication and escalation pathways
  • Capable of extracting pertinent information from study documentation such as protocol, contracts, budgets, etc. and performing data entry and review of such documents
  • Capable of effectively analyzing project specific data/systems and ability to make data driven decisions and to apply critical thinking; including ability to drive risk identification and issue resolution at the project level
  • Solid understanding of country regulatory and/or applicable tax regulations
  • Capable of leading study related activities with little to no interaction from management
