Job Description

Ensure all building utilities and automated equipment is running at optimal efficiency. Partner with designated vendors and perform regular scheduled preventative maintenance.  Work on assignments that are sophisticated in nature and where considerable judgment and initiative is required. Validated experience in solving and making repairs and recommendations based off maintenance standard processes. Experience with electrical, controls and mechanical systems. Ability to read, write and apply complicated equipment and process drawings. Ability to use mathematics, formulas, handbooks and a variety of precision measuring instruments. Ability to provide mentorship to other employees as required or requested.

* Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and diagnose & repair equipment problems related to sensors & electrical wiring.

* Fix, repair, evaluate, and make recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations and/or implement savings opportunities

Respond immediately to emergency situations and customer concerns

Perform basic electrical work, plumbing, soldering, carpentry, and snow removal when vital

Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions, preventative maintenance, etc.

Assist with solving and repairs of buildings and grounds including installed automated machinery, plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, etc.

Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems

Replace and repair building finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, wallpaper, and can paint walls, piping, floors and equipment

Follow all Company directives and regulations as related to building operations and practice safe work habits

Possess proficient knowledge of the use and care of tools and equipment used in facility and grounds maintenance

Finish all required safety training on time as assigned by the company

Ability to use technology such as; smart phones, tablets, computers, web-based applications, building automation systems, etc.

Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner

Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

How will you get here?

Education:

•     High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)          

Minimum Requirements:

Familiar with the workings of a cGMP facility 

Experience in building maintenance or an education in the trades

* Strong Mechanical proficiency and knowledge of electrical and most mechanical systems.

Multi Tasks. Able to handle multiple projects

Must be able to work calmly and in all emergency situations

* Ability to define problems and resolve them quickly

Ability to work in a logical, clean, and organized manner

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

* Ability to liaison with various outside vendors

Basic computer skills and ability to use various software, apps and computer programs

The ability to lift and exert 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently

Must have valid NY State Driver’s License - without any infractions and must maintain valid NY State Driver’s License without any infractions

Collaborative and professional teammate

Ability to learn new tasks and accept new responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications:

5 years of progressive experience and responsibility in the maintenance field preferred

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New York is $34.00–$42.00.
