Job Description
A day in the Life:
- Apply advance departmental knowledge to facilitate problem resolution and implement process improvements
Work at stations on the line as required - ongoing fulfillment of operator tasks on the line (operate complex machines)
- Maintain a safe work environment and proactively coaches team members on safety topics
- Implements safety solutions as part of a root cause counter measure process (RCCM)
- Leads daily team meetings within the department
- Utilizes established reporting mechanisms to compile daily production metrics in the areas of Safety, Quality and Production
- Coordinate team’s workload, deployment and workflow on a daily basis
- Provide feedback and support during schedule planning for production
- Assess data and provide recommendations when production challenges arise
- Able to independently assess impact of production issues and formally escalate when appropriate
- Consult with Engineering, Facilities and or Maintenance on specific equipment or department issues
- Will initiate problem reports for deviations and non-conforming material with our Quality Management System
- Will be a process owner within our Quality Management System and perform root cause investigation, disposition and corrective actions.
- Conducts formal root cause analysis using existing data
- Takes ownership of work instructions or standard operating procedure updates
- Owns, facilitates and implements continuous improvement initiatives
- Coordinates the work of others to ensure project goals are met
- Support Validation of NPIs
- Provide coverage for the team whit capacity constraints
- Provides hands one equipment troubleshooting support for the team
Keys to Success:
Education- High school diploma (or GED) required
Experience- At least 5+ years of experience in manufacturing environment
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Adaptable in fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Well organized, detail oriented and proficient at multi-tasking
- Works well independently and in a team environment
- Positive attitude towards job and others
- Highly motivated and dedicated
- Strong use in Microsoft office to analyze data and prepare presentation
- Experience with Good Documentation Practices
- Experience in Production
