Laboratory Aide - Histology

If 'yes' then we are recruiting for a Laboratory Aide for our Lab Operations department. This is a role suited to someone who has an interest in science but who may not have a scientific related education or background.

This role is to be based at our site in Eye, Suffolk. You will be working across our modern, purpose built laboratories where you will play a key role in the logistical and operational support of the Histology department. 

Following a comprehensive training and career development scheme, the responsibilities of this varied role will include:

  All processes involved with the receipt, documentation and storage of incoming consumables and reagents. Stock control and rotation. Study set up procedures including precise labelling of samples, accurate recording of data, label/slide printing and reagent preparation. Adherence to Good Laboratory Practice regulations. Undertaking cross-training initiatives within other areas across Safety Assessment. The job may involve periods of lifting, pushing and pulling of equipment and animals.

5 GCSE level passes or equivalent (C or above) including Maths, Science and English. Candidates without this level of qualification may be recruited if considered suitable. Experience:

No experience required as full training will be given.
