Vice President, Health Economics and Outcomes Research

The Vice President is an expert in the field of health economics who has the ability to apply their expertise across all Access service lines to identify and develop integrated client solutions.

S/he will report into the Global Head of the RWE & Access Business Unit and will be responsible for delivering on a pre-defined NBA and revenue target. The individual will also work closely with the Worldwide Head of the Access and the Access Strategic Business Unit in their integrated solutions role, where independent metrics will be agreed.

S/he must have fully proven business development skills and relationships at senior levels within client organizations, as well as business leadership and management skills. The Vice President must have a thorough understanding of the organization’s consulting models and methodologies, as well as, extensive knowledge of what services Parexel RWE & Access provides. The Vice President provides a full range of consulting services and works within their personal area of expertise. The Vice President provides mentoring and guidance to other Parexel RWE & Access employees and leads knowledge-centered activities within Parexel RWE & Access. The Vice President participates in the development of new service offerings, consulting models and methodologies.

Responsibilities

1. Project ExecutionProvides senior oversight to select project engagements (small or large).Works within a team environment or individually based on the project needsWorks within broad project guidelines and leads issue and conflict resolutionsPrioritizes own workload and prioritizes the workload of the project team in order to achieve the project scope and objectives2. Consulting Activities and Relationship ManagementAdapts the appropriate organization’s consulting models and methodologies when unique situations present themselves as well as designs//improves the methodologies when neededProvides a full range of technical and/or business consulting services across multiple disciplines of services including representing clients to regulatory agenciesCompletes and delegates project activities in a timely manner with an understanding of issues which may impact project profitability and client satisfactionFacilitates resolutions to possible problems or conflicts within the Service Line, project team and/or the client. Provides guidance as needed to lower level colleagues on appropriate methods of executing project activitiesPlans and delivers services and solutions which result in clients expressing satisfaction with service provided and builds relationships which results in additional business or referralsIdentifies opportunities for follow-on business or changes in project scope and exploits the opportunities with Parexel RWE & Access management and account management3. Service Line Leadership and ManagementLeads and guides Service Line team to drive project success, client satisfaction, and new business developmentInteracts with Finance, Resourcing, Center for Resourcing Excellence (CORE) and other teams to ensure accurate Service Line financial management and team resourcing/ staffing4. Business DevelopmentDelivers presentations about Parexel RWE & Access service offeringsGenerates new or repeat business due to personal name recognition or history of client satisfaction and/or relationshipLeverages rainmaking skills resulting in new and repeat business for PAREXEL.Participates in select project scoping calls and proposal preparationDelivers sales presentations and participates in bid defense meetings when needed.Closes large new business opportunities Contributes information to support the account planning process and integrated marketing programsQualificationsRequired Competencies to be successful in this role:

Education

Minimum of an advanced degree in a scientific or technical discipline or MBA, PhD preferred, or equivalent experience

Language Skills

At least fluent vocal and written English

Minimum Work Experience

10+ years of experience with expert level industry and/ or health economics knowledge and/or experience
