Flow Cytometry Lab Services Team Lead

In this position, you will work in a fast paced, customer focused, and challenging environment, and will be a part of our overall mission at Labcorp: "Improving Health, Improving Lives" as we combat the COVID-19 pandemic.</p> <p><strong>Job Duties/Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";"> </span></span>Assist the supervisor with the day to day operations of the Flow Cytometrydepartment</li> <li><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";"> </span></span>Send daily, weekly and monthly productions reports to management</li> <li><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";"> </span></span>Assist with the training of new hires and the development of current employees</li> <li><span style="font-family: Symbol;color: black;"><span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";"> </span></span><span style="color: black;">Keep supervisor informed of group progress, problems, employee performance and any significant factors affecting assigned responsibilities</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";"> </span></span>Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria</li> <li><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";"> </span></span>Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to SOPs</li> <li><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";"> </span></span>Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality</li> <li><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";"> </span></span>Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls</li> <li><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";"> </span></span>Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care</li> <li><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";"> </span></span>Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures</li> <li><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";"> </span></span>Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary</li> <li><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";"> </span></span>Assist with processing of specimens when needed</li> <li><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";"> </span></span>Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment</li> </ul>
