Materials & Structural Analysis (MSD)

Key responsibilities include, but are not exclusively:

• Working in compliance with legislation and IMS (required for all)
• Ensure compliance to GAAP and Thermo Fisher Corporate accounting policy requirements
• Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annually closes and reporting process, including preparing and reviewing account reconciliations, preparing, and posting journal entries
• Preparing and booking of complex journal entries like payroll (wages, bonuses, vacation), tax, accruals, fixed assets
• Deputize colleagues during exposed period
• Coordinate with internal/external auditors, tax advisors
• Ensure timely submission for various statutory reporting within responsibility
• Coordinate various ad hoc projects
• Identify issues requiring updates to policies and procedures and ensure implementation
• Work with cross functional teams i.e. HR, IT, finance, R&D
• Identify and investigate issues as needed

Requirements:

• University degree in Finance or/and Accounting (Bc.)
• 3+ years of accounting experience preferred
• Advanced English or French (min B2 one of them)
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Advanced Excel skills preferred

• Ability to comprehend and understand overall ERP system and accounting/finance process concepts
• Ability to be self-motivated with high level of proactivity to identify and drive continuous improvement

• Ability to develop required business partnership skills to collaborate and communicate effectively with key contacts at all levels and in all regions throughout the organization
