The Immunodiagnostics Division (IDD) develops, manufactures, and markets complete blood test systems to support the clinical diagnosis and monitoring of allergy, asthma, and autoimmune diseases. With 2,000 employees based in 25 countries worldwide IDD is the global leader in in-vitro allergy testing and the European leader in autoimmunity diagnostics. 

How will you make an impact?

The Senior US HEOR Lead will develop and execute global value-based evidence generation and market access strategies. The Senior Lead will be responsible for both the allergy and autoimmunity portfolios. The Senior Lead will provide value-based evidence generation and market access support throughout the organization and will support regional commercial  organizations regarding reimbursement submissions and other areas related to value demonstration. The Senior US HEOR Lead will be part of the Global Market Access, Value and Evidence Team within Medical Scientific Affairs and will report to the Global Director, Market Access, Value and Evidence.

What will you do?

  • The Senior US HEOR Lead plays a vital role in functional operations, research, strategy development and tactical execution advancing access to pipeline and portfolio technologies within the ImmunoDiagnostics Division (IDD)
  • Supporting both the allergy and autoimmune product lines, this professional will leverage experience and insights from product concept and through the commercial process of IVD technologies developed by IDD
  • Support research, development and execution of value-based evidence generation and market access-related strategies
  • Conduct timely research and prepare assessments relevant to pipeline and portfolio technologies and market space relating to U.S. coding, coverage and payment
  • Actively participate and serve as a subject matter expert with internal and external customers on U.S. value-based evidence generation and market access-related matters, which will include direct payer engagements  
  • Prepare and deliver value-based evidence and market access-relevant training to internal stakeholders and external customers
  • Oversee assigned consulting engagements
  • Participate in relevant conferences, professional society engagements and stakeholder meetings as may be required
  • Partner with colleagues in Medical and Scientific Affairs, US Commercial and Marketing on key deliverables, including Global Value Dossiers, health economic models
  • Actively participates in review of data from all outcomes research studies for allergy and autoimmune products and ensures that the interpretation is consistent with the data from the studies.
  • Proactively works with teams at the national level and develops high level KOL and external payer influencer relationships to help develop effective research and access strategies
  • Works effectively in the global cross-functional team
  • Reviews and evaluates scientific literature continuously.

How will you get here?

  • Master or doctoral degree (such as PhD, MD, PharmD) in health sciences, biostatistics, economics and/or epidemiology.
  • Strong technical and scientific knowledge in health economics research methods applied to healthcare
  • Knowledge of the US reimbursement environment, and regulatory requirements.
  • Understands factors driving market access and how value-based evidence can support access decisions.
  • In-depth knowledge of major US healthcare delivery and payer systems

Professional Experience & Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 6+ years working within market access, reimbursement, coverage policy development and related activities within the medical device, diagnostics and/or EG immunodiagnostics market space (including consultancy and academia)
  • Demonstrated experience in research informing U.S. landscape assessments, value messages, and value communication tools
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize clinical and health economic evidence and influence strategy development.
  • A track record of delivering relevant health economic models, value-based evidence, dossier adaptations, and scientific publications.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently, to take initiative, be resourceful, and exercise astute business judgment to drive performance.
  • Effective communication capabilities – including both writing and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing capabilities, with demonstrated experiences working with commercial, medical affairs, regulatory, compliance and other internal stakeholders

  • This position requires significant national travel – up to 25%
