A day in the Life:

Proactively collaborates with initiative leads and management to prepare, prioritize, coordinate, document and/or provide the development and delivery of department products and services to a globally dispersed, cross-functional audience in support of business outcomes and industry compliance requirements.

Identify and qualify potential expansion sites, considering factors such as location, building requirements, and regulatory compliance.

Negotiate leases and rental agreements with landlords, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company.

Work closely with procurement, finance, facilities, and real estate teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of flexible and outstanding laboratory facilities.

Handle construction projects in a competitively bid environment, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Provides feedback to management regarding daily tasks, issues that may arise and steps taken to rectify these issues.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration) is preferred.
  • Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 10+ years).
  • In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Confirmed experience in project management, preferably in laboratory or facility expansion projects.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with experience in lease negotiations and incentive negotiations.
  • Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to laboratory facilities.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with internal and external development team members.
  • Ability to think outside of the box and provide creative solutions to challenges.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
