Job Description

Summary:

Responsible for the development and implementation of PPI program at the site.  Builds on the strengths of prior transformation efforts and leads efforts to determine new opportunities.

Essential Functions: 

Monitors the progress of improvement efforts and facilitates integration of prior transformation initiatives and methodologies.

Measures and reports key aspects of PPI performance.

 Works with closely with Finance to build operational budgets and calculate financial impacts of improvement initiatives.

Deploys opportunities to use PPI to enhance client satisfaction levels.

Identifies and prioritizes annual PPI opportunities in conjunction with the site leadership team.

Manage, coach and develop leaders to embrace PPI concepts and techniques.

Ensure PPI training systems are established to develop site leaders.

Job Scope:

Work closely with global OE leaders and site general manager to develop assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals.

Supervision:

Manages the coordination of the activities of the department with responsibility for results.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in a business, engineering or science preferred.

Experience:

2-5 years experience in a regulated industry (pharmaceutical preferred).  In addition, 2-5 years working in a continuous improvement related capacity with exposure to lean principles, Six Sigma tools and techniques. 

Equivalency:

Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.

Competencies: 

Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and current Good Documentation Practices (cGDP).  Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).  Effective written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.  Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.  Ability to drive functional, technical and operational excellence. Ability to inspire and foster innovation, collaboration, transparency and team effectiveness.

Physical Requirements:

Position requires ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination sufficient to move about office locations; ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch periodically for prolonged periods of time; manipulation (lift, carry, move) of light to medium weights of 10-35 pound pounds; arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp and type for prolonged periods of time; visual acuity to use a keyboard, computer monitor, operate equipment, and read materials for prolonged periods of time; ability to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear for prolonged periods of time.
