Transfer Pricing Manager

We are seeking to hire a Transfer Pricing Manager with significant IT skills who will report to the Senior Director of Transfer Pricing and is part of IQVIA’s global corporate tax department. This position is based in the U.S. in IQVIA’s Research Triangle Park, (RTP) office. This position will work with members of the Tax Team as well as other functional groups and business units within the company.

Core Responsibilities:

• Lead the effort to develop process efficiency improvements for the transfer pricing team
• Assist in managing BEPS documentation requirements including review of Masterfile, benchmarking studies and local file documentation prepared by outside service providers
• Creation and maintenance of intercompany agreements
• Provide support for new acquisitions, including review of transfer pricing due diligence and post-acquisition integration
• Assist with defense of transfer pricing policies through audits by tax authorities, including Advance Pricing Agreements (APA) and Mutual Agreement Procedure (MAP) filings, and drafting responses to information requests
• Participate in transfer pricing planning projects
• Support with overall intercompany transactions, including preparation of quarterly calculations and coordination with various stakeholders, such as finance and treasury, to ensure proper implementation and communication of the impact of transfer pricing policies

Critical Competencies:

• Solid understanding of transfer pricing concepts
• Experience in the transfer pricing life cycle, including transfer pricing policy implementation, compliance documentation, and developing workflows that automate data gathering and intercompany pricing from within ERP systems
• Detail-oriented, strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivator and able to work independently
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to influence others
• Work effectively with outside service providers
• Significant IT skills; proficiency with Microsoft Excel /data analytic software tools (Alteryx)
• Accounting skills a plus
• Project Management skills a plus

Minimum Education and Experience:

• 5+ years of transfer pricing experience

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics
• Master’s degree a plus
• Proficiency with online tax research tools
• Experience with Hyperion Financial Management and Oracle ERP System a plus
• Experience with Alteryx Software a plus
