Sr. Financial Analyst

Description

Conducts the financial and accounting operations of the organization. Prepares, collects and interprets financial information;
prepares budgets, reports, forecasts and statutory returns; conducts financial analyses of proposals, investments and fund
sources; manages the organization's taxation affairs; manages cost accounting systems and cash flow; conducts audits; controls
treasury and ensures compliance with regulatory standards.

Analyzes financial and business performance leveraging key indicators, develops and evaluates forecasts, to determine actions
required to maximize shareholder return.
Collects, models and analyzes financial statement and operational performance data with a view to identifying trends and actions.
Analyzes P&L, cash flow and operational metrics.

JOB OVERVIEW

Job Profile Summary

Maintain the financial accounts for certain holding companies and coordinate and manage
various aspects of the financial consolidation process including the inter-company matching
process and the loading of eliminations.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions
• Assist in the preparation of financial analysis of actual, forecast and budget figures and identify key trends as appropriate.
• Coordinate and manage the inter-company matching process.
• Prepare and distribute the inter-company confirmations for inter-company notes and interest.
• Coordinate the inter-company matching through effective and timely communication of differences to all parties involved and
then following through to ensure correcting entries are provided to eliminate differences.
• Ensure inter-company suspense account balances do not contain any material items and that the items are current.
• Prepare inter-company suspense and inter-company matching reports for review by senior finance management and
independent auditors.
• Prepare the topside journal report for distribution to finance staff for them to enter in their general ledgers to ensure
consistency with the Hyperion database.
• Maintain detailed understanding of internal customer requirements and develop processes that will meet or exceed these
requirements.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial accounting procedures and policies relevant to the scope of this role.
• Ensure all financial and accounting records are thoroughly maintained and complete in preparation for independent audits.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
