Marketing Automation Manager

PURPOSE
Manage the marketing automation and demand generation process and platforms globally to ensure IQVIA markets the right message to the right person at the right time, through the marketing automation system. 

Manage and oversee the strategic operation of our automated marketing platform, including building and supporting standard programs such as email communications, lead capture, lead scoring, nurturing and integration with CRM and other third-party applications and systems. This role will work with internal clients to implement marketing automation best practices and deliver world-class campaigns/communications.

Facilitate the development of and implementation of marketing automation strategies and plans to build awareness, condition the market, and nurture customers.  

Lead and ensure governance and acquisition integrations across the marketing automation system acting as System Administrator.


RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Lead and drive best practices and infrastructure for demand generation working closely with the US RBU and  inside sales organization to fill marketing qualified lead pipeline to impact ROI. 
•    Serve as back-up System Administrator for Marketing Automation system, including ensuring governance and oversight across users and stakeholders.
•    Develops and project manages a digital road map for marketing automation, incorporating business case logic and socializing across the organizations during approval and implementation
•    Lead for Salesforce marketing workstream, prioritizing and confirming business requirements for all updates and enhancements
•    Collaboratively work within a highly matrixed  global organization, develop and manage comprehensive, cohesive and measurable marketing automation plans for the assigned business unit/geography, linking to other business units/geographies as required. 
•    Function as subject matter expert for Marketing Automation programs.
•    Support & drive collaboration across businesses to ensure seamless implementation of customer-specific marketing messages and strategies across system/platform.
•    Lead and implement best practices for Marketing Automation outreaches.
•    Develop document, and ensure adherence to business rules, applied processes, programs, naming conventions and procedures.
•    Segment and leverage the marketing database for efficient and effective campaigns targeting including data cleansing and accurate segmentation.
•    Support development of personas (defined segments based on behaviors and actions) to fully address segments.
•    Interface with external vendors and internal functional groups to execute agreed-upon plans and programs. 
•    Build a library of campaign and creative best practices

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
•    Industry work experience including direct marketing, database marketing or marketing automation.
•    Understanding of the principles and practices related to CRM (Salesforce) and Marketing Automation, including segmentation and strategy. 
•    Experience working in Salesforce.com platform environment.
•    Strong Microsoft Office skills 
•    Strong communication skills 
•    Fluent English speaker
•    Ability to work within cross-functional teams 
•    Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients


MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
•    Bachelor’s degree required and at least 7 years relevant marketing experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
