Participants are 18 to 30 years old.
Older adult
Participants are over 65 years old.

What is the study measuring?

Primary Outcome Measures

Outcome Measure
Measure Description
Time Frame
Skin carotenoid levels and skin aging features
Time Frame: one day
We will assess the skin carotenoid levels' correlation with skin aging features, such as wrinkles, fine lines, and age spots.
one day

Secondary Outcome Measures

Outcome Measure
Measure Description
Time Frame
Skin carotenoid levels and biomarkers of aging
Time Frame: one day
We will assess the skin carotenoid levels' correlation with biomarkers associated with aging, such as C-reactive protein, telomere length, telomerase activity etc.
one day
Skin carotenoid levels and self-reported perception of health
Time Frame: 2 weeks
We will assess the skin carotenoid levels' correlation with self reported scores on general health and health beliefs, incidence of respiratory, gut and skin allergy symptoms, and sleep quality.
2 weeks
