The Custom Research business unit of IQVIA, formerly AlphaImpactRx, uses marketing research with physicians, patients, and other allied healthcare professionals to drive strategic decision-making for our clients in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry.     

The Position:

We are seeking bright, motivated candidates for a full-time remote Qualitative Market Research Practice Lead position. We are looking for candidates with outstanding strategic thinking, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a culture of achievement. This is an opportunity to work in an organization with a unique position to provide seamless, integrated solutions with primary and secondary data. The Qualitative Market Research Practice Lead participates actively in delivering strategic insights to our clients by leading and executing primary market research studies. 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Professional Services leaders to standardize qualitative processes, focusing on fieldwork and reporting logistics
  • Maintain a network of global moderators (independents and/or those working through vendors), including vetting new moderators based on a standard process, centralizing team feedback, and providing recommendations/availability during proposal process
  • Manage network of freelance report-writers, lining up resources early in the qualitative process and adjusting when timelines shift
  • Be able to help with moderating and qualitative report-writing as needed
  • Be able to help manage the logistics of qualitative projects as needed (e.g. oversee recruitment efforts of the fieldwork team, coordinate timelines, etc.)
  • Identify and vet cost-effective and timely foreign language transcript service; potentially take ownership of managing transcripts for the team (with aid of junior resource)
  • Position the qualitative practice for future growth, which may include more central management of qual logistics: project/vendor management for global qualitative, including screener development, recruitment, field updates, scheduling, reminders

Experience:

  • Must have at least 5-10 years market research experience, ideally with pharma clients
  • Must understand qualitative research processes and have strong project management experience
  • Self-starter good at finding creative solutions to process challenges
  • Experience directing and developing junior staff successfully
  • Desired: Experience and comfort moderating for pharmaceutical clients
