Supervise daily operations. Ensure study requirements and departmental procedures are followed. Guide staff activities in matters related to recruitment, development and other relevant personnel requirements. Work performed is in accordance with ICH E6 Guideline for Good Clinical Practice. Please note this is a 2nd shift 3pm to 12am.
Responsibilities
•In regions without an associate supervisor, the duties of that job will be the responsibility of the supervisor.
•Ensure that the daily requirements of the department are met through coordination of activities.
•Proactively plan for new equipment acquisitions and recommend such purchases to Manager.
•Conduct staff meetings on a regular basis.
•Identify, implement and communicate process improvements.
•Coach staff on ways to improve performance in work processes.
•Complete assigned incidents in a well-researched and timely manner.
•Educate staff on trends uncovered as a result of incident investigations.
•Focus on staff development to prepare staff to move forward in the organization.
•Track absence management and job performance in the performance management system.
•Recommend action if performance standards are not met.
•Ensure adherence to appropriate Quality Control Systems and Procedures. Maintain SOPs to ensure all procedures are documented, and required amendments to procedures are highlighted and progressed immediately. Oversee the timely completion of IIRs and FERs.
•Maintain a high level of awareness of safety procedures/good housekeeping.
•Ensure training of new personnel according to the time guidelines in the training plans and for cross-training/refresher training to ensure adequate staff coverage as required. Ensure maintenance of staff position descriptions, CVs and training records.
•Host internal audits and ensure department readiness for audits, tours or visits.
•Serve as primary point of contact in manager's absence.
•Supervise staff in accordance with organization's policies and applicable regulations. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; identification of resource requirements; progressing staff recruitment; appraising performance and guiding professional development; addressing employee relations issues and resolving problems. Approve actions on human resource actions.
•Interact with vendors as needed.

Education and Work Experience
Bachelor's Degree and 2 years related supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Skills and Abilities
Good working knowledge of relevant procedures
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to effectively delegate work
Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects, and direct team members
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients
