Job Introduction:

At Parexel, we are a leading Clinical Research Organization company specializing in delivering life-changing medicines to patients. We are seeking an Associate Director, Financeto join our Enterprise Portfolio Management team. As an Associate Director, you will play a critical role in managing all financial tracking and reporting for the internal investment portfolio across the entirety of the organization. Through questioning the status quo and collaborating cross-functionally, the Associate Director, Finance is responsible for liaising with initiative teams and other groups within Parexel supporting the programs/projects (FIN, D&T), involvement in the development and assessment of business cases, coordination of quarterly capital investment review & approval board (CPRB), production and oversight of key progress reports (tracking and assimilation of savings realization and KPI data), bridging variances to financial plan, support of forecasting and budget cycles, and preparation of materials for stakeholder review meetings (portfolio level for BOD, ELT, EAB, TEC and program/project level reviews as applicable).

Who we are looking for:

Driven individuals with proven experience working as an Associate Director, Finance or in a similar role. Who are passionate and knowledgeable of portfolio management and methodologies and exhibit proficiency in financial vetting and business case development support, budget/forecast alignment, and portfolio & project-level finance tracking, reporting and governance. That possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills while demonstrating impeccable communication skills.

What you’ll do:

  • Proactively collaborate with Parexel internal project teams working on corporate initiatives/projects and others involved in the delivery of the programs/projects (including function-based business partners, subject matter experts, and external consultants).
  • Create and establish expectations for tracking status reports, financial data and operational metrics.
  • Manage savings realization data (value capture tracking) across project teams monthly throughout the duration of the program. Review of variances to plan and work with teams on path to close gaps.
  • Present complex financial information to ELT, SLT, and management, and flag risks and opportunities timely and as appropriate.

Additional details:

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office such as Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, Word. Excellent verbal & written communication skills as well as presentation skills. Highly motivated, self-starting individual who can see the big picture. Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent experience required.
