Position Summary:

Join our dynamic and highly skilled Global Trade Data team, where you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the seamless movement of goods across borders. As a valued member of our team, you will closely collaborate with international teams to ensure the utmost integrity in trade data, precise merchandise classification with HTS codes, meticulous determination of export control classifications, and identification of the country of origin. Your contributions will be instrumental in ensuring compliance and efficiency in cross-border transactions.

Key responsibilities include, but are not exclusively:

  • Perform customs classification for imported and exported merchandise

  • Communicate relevant product information to internal teams to support accurate classification

  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance during customs clearance

  • Perform audit activities related to data integrity and import/export transactions to ensure compliance with regulations

  • Lead internal projects aimed at improving effectiveness within trade data management

  • Identify, investigate, and resolve data process and data issues

  • Collaborate closely with various departments, including Global Trade Compliance, R&D, Engineering, Sourcing, Logistics, and Quality

  • Drive continuous improvement process to enhance the PPI (Practical Process Improvement) Business System

  • Perform analysis to find opportunities for duty refunds and cost savings

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School education (or higher) preferably with technical base or administration, logistics or equivalent

  • Proficient Czech and English language skills (written and spoken)

  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Experience in data integrity and project management

  • Technical affinity

Nice-to-have requirements:

  • Knowledge of HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule Code), TARIC (Customs tariff database of the European Union), HN (Harmonized System), CN (Combined Nomenclature), Binding Ruling, Explanatory Notes, ECCN classification (Export Control Classification Number), Valuation, Rules of Origin

  • Technical documentation review and revision experience

  • Previous work experience in customs area and with international team
