Location/Division Specific Information

You will lead a diverse team of product owners in our Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Software Business Unit where we build enterprise software solutions for science and the analytical industry to run LC/IC/GC and MS instruments, evaluate data and generate results.

A day in the Life

• Direct management for a team of Product Owners. Be a coach for your team, support them grow and develop their career
• Serve as the primary contact and expert for your product initiative across the wider organization
• Work with product management to complete your understanding of the product vision, customer requirements and product UI / UX
• Work with your team, peers in product management and R&D to identify the scrum teams required to efficiently implement your product increment and optimally distribute the work across all the scrum teams
• Lead your team of Product Owners to focus and deliver customer value in every sprint, present progress on sprint reviews across scrum teams, and collect feedback from the audience
• Together with the project management team, ensure visibility on various levels of the organization

Keys to Success:

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry or similar Life Sciences; Master’s degree preferred

Experience

• Leadership experience with a distributed team
• Lab experience with LC-MS workflows and systems
• Experience with Chromatography / Mass Spectrometry software
• Experience with medium to large database systems
• Experience as a Product Owner / Manager for Enterprise software development, ideally based on cloud technology and Kubernetes in a scientific environment, would be preferable
• Experience with distributed/networked systems and instrument control, either from a technical or a usage perspective, would be a plus

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Proficiency in English as a written and spoken language; communication with clarity and precision with team members, leadership and peers
• Understanding of distributed software, ideally in scientific environments
• Basic understanding of regulations such as ISO 9001, ISO 27001, 21 CFR part 11 and Gamp5 would be an asset
