Parexel has an exciting opportunity for a Global Category Sourcing Manager to join the Clinical Procurement Team! The ideal candidate is a motivated, self-starter who is excited to manage and drive measurable improvement in Parexel’s procurement strategies for his/her assigned categories. As the Global Category Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing major global purchases and coordinating associated work with Business Analysts and Procurement Specialists with the support of the Category Leader. This opportunity allows for a flexible schedule with either fully remote, hybrid or office-based work (based on location). Your Activities: Providing best practice consultation Collaborating with internal clients Qualifying and developing sourcing/supplier strategies Ensuring compliance and alignment with strategic corporate goals, contractual requests and stipulations from clients including risk management, GxP regulations, and total cost of ownership Remaining accountable for the 7-step sourcing process for contracts generally valued at over $1 million and for delivering annual multi-million-dollar savings aligned with Corporate and SBU EBITDA savings goals Evaluating variable issues and risks Facilitating mitigation and resolution of issues Developing, proposing, and implementing strategic global and regional category plans that align with business strategies and goals Performing internal assessments of current and future needs and external assessments of market trends and competitive suppliers Developing financial models to assess “Total Cost of Ownership” (TCO) and opportunities to leverage changes in specifications, processes, systems, and products to lower TCO Working closely with Business Units Corporate Departments and Category Leader to establish and implement the category strategy Selecting and negotiating with suppliers based on the category sourcing strategy and TCO Establishing and maintaining contractual and business relationships with the suppliers Communicating with Business Units, Corporate Department influencers and users on the selection Facilitating discussions with cross-functional teams to ensure that Business Units and Corporate Departments provide input and are represented in the execution of the strategies for their category Remaining current with future trends within the marketplace by maintaining relationships with suppliers, and other market experts Negotiating terms and conditions with key global and regional suppliers for medium to large dollar contracts to ensure optimum price competitiveness and service levels are maintained Collaborating with the sourcing specialists and/or supplier relationship manager in the development of scorecards Participating in supplier governance reviews Working with key management and Category Lead to help develop the strategic direction to attain world-class service delivery Facilitating cooperation and the development of company-wide standards to facilitate strong links between Parexel and its suppliers Leading and driving supplier development where appropriate

Your Profile: Solid Knowledge of the market(s) for assigned categories as well as procurement best practices, theories, principles, and disciplines Knowledge of category management, business and supply chain management practices, theories, principles and disciplines Proficient category knowledge including marketplace, key suppliers and future trends Track record for cultivating strong relationships with client and supplier stakeholders that have resulted in high customer satisfaction Demonstrated ability to manage medium to large global projects coupled with financial responsibility Experience in negotiating contracts and knowledge of key contractual language Track record of success working in a global, team-based environment Three plus years of experience in category management and strategic sourcing Seven to ten years of professional procurement experience B.S. in Business, Finance or Supply Chain. MBA Preferred C.P.M. or equivalent professional certification preferred
