The Laboratory Optimization Specialist will report to the VP of Commercial Sales and be responsible for identifying process improvements associated with Fisher Healthcare’s lab automation solutions; which include an agnostic solution based recommendation for total lab automation, clinical chemistry diagnostic solutions and microbiology and molecular solutions.

This individual will assist in data collection and analysis, and will effectively present, describe and demonstrate Total Laboratory Automation Solutions features, benefits and economic justifications. This will be done by using existing LEAN Workflow tools as well as by crafting new tools specific to each customer situation to define the value of our product offerings. This position partners with customers, vendor partners, and internal stakeholders to address customers' unique priorities, challenges, and needs through continuous improvement efforts, including (but not limited to) collecting and reviewing customer feedback, refining methods/tools, performing complex analyses, and recommending solutions. As a result, this fosters and supports sales opportunities and also positions commercial opportunities for Fisher Healthcare.

The successful candidate will work with Fisher Healthcare customer-facing associates, Sales Account Managers, Field Application Specialists, Field Service Engineers, Marketing Team and Manufacturers.

This position will work remotely (non-office based) and be available for travel extensively (75-80%).

Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Operations Management, Sciences or closely related scientific/technical field.
  • At least 10 years' experience in a hospital /commercial laboratory environment and passion for improving healthcare outcomes.
  • Proven competencies in areas of continuous improvement, process analysis, laboratory operations, data management and analytics, laboratory automation, system integration and implementation.
  • Expert in automation workflow as well as technical capabilities of clinical laboratory diagnostics. Knowledge and experience selling and/or using total laboratory automation, clinical chemistry systems, or microbiology or molecular automation, and IT products.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or equivalent experience using lean or related methodologies in a related setting is preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with leadership, KOLs and Advisory boards

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Texas is $140,800.00–$211,150.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
