The Gene Amplification and Recombinant Protein manufacturing lab is the first stage in both our research-grade and GMP product development pipelines; Quality Control Specialist’s responsibilities include all phases of product quality control (both in process and final) and respective documentation.

A day in the Life
  • Performs a variety of complex sample preparation and analysis procedures
  • Works with multiple functional groups to meet business needs
  • Plans and organizes work with periodic supervision
  • Sets up and maintains analytical instrumentation
  • Trains on routine operation, maintenance and theory of analytical instrumentation, SOPs, and regulatory procedures and guidelines
  • Ensures QA findings are addressed appropriately
  • Performs work assignments accurately, and in a timely and safe manner
  • Supervises laboratory inventory and raw materials
  • Reviews, interprets, and analyzes data for technical, quality and compliance to protocols, methods, SOPs, client criteria and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) or Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in lab sciences such as biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, chemistry, molecular biology or similar
  • Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 3+ years’) or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Support testing and analysis in the Quality Control department (prepare samples, run assays, documents processes)
  • Experience performing qPCR Assays, SDS-PAGE/CE-SDS, Mass Spectrometry, HPLC, DNA sequencing (Sanger and NGS), Molecular Genomics
  • Communicate effectively and follow detailed written and verbal instruction
  • Manage time effectively to complete assignments in expected time frame
  • Maintain a laboratory notebook and complete all documentation according to the Standard Operating Procedures

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Lithuania is €21 800,00–€32 675,00.
