Location/Division Specific Information

The Chemical Analysis business provides a broad mix of analytical instruments and services to a diverse range of end-user markets. Its instruments are deployed globally in the field and on the line, in results-oriented environments where customers put a premium on robustness, reliability and ease of use. The Chemical Analysis business operates within a global footprint with more than 3,500 colleagues, delivering product solutions to customers that allow for confident, on-the-spot decision-making.

Discover Impactful Work:

This financial analyst will have direct exposure to both division and business leadership. This analyst will support the execution of the annual operating plan (AOP), and STRAP cycle and play a key role in aligning the team goals with the global division leadership expectations. This role is also responsible for supporting the business finance teams, aligning annual strategic goals across the division.

A day in the Life:
  • Support all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial processes to include month-end close, reporting, planning / forecasting, and analytics
  • Create operating rhythms to measure progress and return against AOP investments
  • Support divisional margin mix, measured cash flow, and spend forecasting analysis and data driven scenario planning
  • Apply and expand on current analytical tools, driving continuous improvements

Keys to Success:

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or MBA in Accounting or Finance

Experience

Prior experience in a financial analytics role

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Excellent financial modeling and problem solving skills with attention to detail; ability to step back and analyze the overall business impact.
  • Exemplary overall business skills not limited to the scope of responsibilities to FP&A, but helps to develop solutions to broad business issues.
  • Strong command of Excel is a requirement. Experience with PowerPoint, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), SAP, and Hyperion Planning preferred.
  • Forward-thinking, highly ethical, functions well in a collaborative and changing environment
  • Professional and proactive communication capabilities, identifying and addressing issues through open dialogue
  • Highly skilled at prioritizing and leading several concurrent tasks
