Mapi Research Trust is currently seeking a Principal to join our team!

Mapi Research Trust is an independent not-for-profit organization specialized in Clinical Outcome Assessment (COA) and Digital endpoint information.

We are dedicated to improving patients’ quality of life by facilitating access to COA and Digital endpoint information by collecting, storing, analyzing and distributing information to the entire scientific community in the service of incorporating the patient's voice into every step of the development process of new treatments. Mapi Research Trust also represents authors of COA, distributes, and licenses over 800 questionnaires.  https://mapi-trust.org//

Summary:

We are looking for passionate, resilient, adaptative and inspiring individuals to join our team.  You will be joining the Patient Centered Endpoint Intelligence (PACE)  team, in charge of answering clients’ scientific customized requests about COAs and Digital endpoints.  You will have experience of applied research in a health or commercial environment, and will have strong interest in clinical development, literature review and interpretation of results, and people leadership strong abilities.   Applicants must be able to demonstrate drive, passion, great attention to details, empathy, be comfortable managing a variety of tasks at one time, and have excellent people management, reporting and communication skills.

General Responsibilities:

  • Travel as needed, up to 40%, domestically and/or internationally.
  • Proactively communicate objectives and results to clients, leadership, and functional partners.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the Company.

Subject Matter Expertise:

  • Direct and lead data gathering efforts, applying relevant tools and techniques.
  • Lead the scientific development and validation of research methodology.
  • Act as a thought partner with clients and project teams.
  • Provide scientific and methodological leadership across various project types.
  • Review and approve final drafts of project deliverables.

Client Development:

  • Conceptualize and draft proposals based on client ideas or RFPs.
  • Initiate and nurture client relationships for reputation building and deal flow.
  • Serve as a key account lead for a combination of current and prospective clients.
  • Independently develop project plans and scientific content in proposals.

Project & Risk Management:

  • Take ownership of final budget, deliverables, and project timeline.
  • Organize and monitor workloads to ensure project efficiency and quality.
  • Anticipate and mitigate key project risks effectively.

Operational Leadership:

  • If in a People Leader role, manage human resource activities, including staffing, resource optimization, mentoring, and talent development.
  • Delegate and ensure completion of special assignments.
  • Comply with all relevant SOPs, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant scientific field.
  • Proven experience in scientific research and project management.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel as required.
