Manufacturing Technician II

How will you make an impact?

The Manufacturing Technician II will safely and efficiently produce high-quality products, while meeting the established production schedule for catalog and bulk/custom-coated plates to achieve production goals relative to Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.

A Day in the Life:

  • Completion of weekly production work orders.

  • Contribute to process documentation including batch record sheets, reports, and lab notebooks.

  • Manage of raw materials and inventory in a kanban system.

  • Work within our MRP system to issue materials to work orders, and perform from-stock and return-to-stock transactions.

  • Using appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including a respirator when required.

  • Detail the critical aspects of each production run.

  • Accurately formulate reagents following the established procedures.

  • Use of pipettes, accurate pipetting techniques, and scales/balances to measure small amounts of raw materials.

  • Completing metrology work orders as assigned.

  • Involvement in process development and occasional assistance in other work cells (detergents and plates).

  • Operate CNC Machines

Keys to Success:

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

  • Minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Brazing experience a plus!

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Ability to work safely with various chemicals and reagents.

  • Ability to read and accurately follow Batch Record Sheets (BRS) and Standard Operation Procedures.

  • Basic mathematical skills, including a solid understanding of the metric system, unit conversions and basic calculations.

  • Understand and perform molar and % composition (W/W and V/V) calculations.

  • Punctual and dependable, consistently arriving to work on time and ready to work.

  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills for working effectively in a team environment.

  • Ability to routinely lift 40-50 lbs.

  • A desire to identify and implement continuous improvements.
