Are you ready to be part of a fast growing, groundbreaking purpose driven opportunity? We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Regional Business Manager of the West Territory. The Clinical Sequencing District Manager West is responsible for leading the Clinical Sequencing business in France, Belgium and the Netherlands. This role is empowered to create demand by building effective and customized growth strategies for the region which has a revenue of 25M$ and a double digit growth expectation.

The candidate must be a team-oriented sales leader, with a solid executive presence, strong communication and presentation skills, and the ability to drive sales and influence the clinical sequencing market.  This individual is responsible for implementing business strategies, forecasting, and providing marketing/driven feedback and customer satisfaction relative to sales activities. This position will require an individual that is results oriented, highly motivated to succeed, operates with high consistency and work ethic, maintains the highest level of integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and implement business strategies through the Clinical Sequencing team to achieve revenue budgets.
  • Set team sales targets, ensuring accountability to achieving these targets and associated commercial processes and important metrics.
  • Design and implement robust revenue forecasting processes and gain compliance by all to implement this process.
  • Implement sales within the region by protecting current customer (P)
  • Grow the business by expanding the customer base (E/G)
  • Participate in Market Development activities, congresses, and be a great partner with KOL
  • Support the customization of the portfolio to local customer needs and align with division to drive solutions relevant to the market.
  • Evaluate performance of sales managers. Provide support and guidance to ensure sales managers are empowered to deliver their sales targets.
  • Drive individual and sales team development capabilities
  • Review demand and planning expectations to ensure supply of product to support regional growth.
  • Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, developing, motivating and coaching the Clinical Sequencing team members.
  • Manage expenses within guidelines; travel as necessary to meet revenue goals.
  • Strong cross functional alignment w/Clinical Application Specialists, Service and Support, Medical affairs, Market Development to drive a One Business approach

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field; or the equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years sales experience in Lifesciences sales.
  • Strong understanding of molecular biology principles, methods and applications.
  • Strong experience in Instruments and consumables sales. Ready to drive agreements with Hospital management and procurement.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as the ability to prioritize and drive clarity with the team. Good written and verbal communication are crucial.
  • Strong presentation skills for both technical and sales related materials.
  • Ability to act independently based upon limited information by analyzing available data, designing an action plan and implementing that plan with autonomy.
  • Ability to create a successful team environment and influence/empower other team members.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel within region and internationally up to 60%
