At our site in Harrogate, North Yorkshire we are looking to recruit a Supervisor to join our expanding Genetic Toxicology team.

As a Supervisor at Labcorp you will be responsible for a team of technicians undertaking specific tasks in support of Genetic Toxicology studies along with carrying out technician duties.

Duties include:

  • Providing supervisory and operational support necessary for the preparation, conduct or reporting of studies carried out within Genetic Toxicology

  • Accountability for overall accuracy, soundness, quality, timeliness and completeness of all work performed in the area of responsibility

  • Responsibility for scheduling; allocating resources within the operational/support group/section; overall responsibility for training and supervision of all operational/scientific/support staff

  • Responsibility for study data, raw data and/or reporting quality, to include equipment metrology and functionality (where applicable)

  • Direct responsibility for all staff working in the operational/support group/section assigned to

Education:

  • Minimum A-levels or equivalent. Degree in a relevant scientific field preferred. Experience may be substituted for education

Experience:

  • Supervisory experience within a laboratory, preferably working to regulatory standards such as GLP

  • Previous experience of staff management including development and training

  • Genetic Toxicology knowledge and/or experience is advantageous

  • Aseptic techniques desirable with in vitro mammalian cell assay, Ames or genetic in vivo experience advantageous along with dispensary experience

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills paired with attention to detail
