We are seeking a Laboratory Assistant for our Biologics Testing Solutions site located in Malvern, PA.  

 

You may be required to work a flexible schedule as needed to support Microbial, Mammalian Cell and Virus/Vaccine Banking operations.

 

This individual will be responsible for being a team member in the Manufacturing Services department, responsible for assisting Microbial and Mammalian cell banking activities as well as Virus and Vaccine operations.  

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform equipment cleaning (i.e. incubators, refrigerators, freezers, biological safety cabinets) and room monitoring of clean room (ISO 6) laboratories. Perform weekly, monthly and pre/post clean room campaign equipment and room  (i.e.: incubators, refrigerators, freezers, biological safety cabinets) cleaning according to SOP requirements. Order, log in and restock supplies and remove laboratory waste. Efficiently organize, prioritize and plan work schedule.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  High School Diploma or Higher Two years of related college coursework preferred. Related experience preferred an equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills to maintain communication across biological functional groups Able to communicate effectively (oral and written) in a small group or one on one setting Must be able to regularly wear safety equipment and clothing in compliance with OSHA regulations and company SOPs. Must be able to lift 25lbs minimum.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus Regularly record data by hand or on a computer terminal Must be able to regularly read and follow Standard Operating Procedures
