As an Animal Care Technician you'll have a connection to the life improving changes we make at Covance.  In this position you’ll work closely with a variety of laboratory animals.  Extensive training provided! Responsibilities include but not limited to: 

Assist in the preparation of inoculations if needed.

Assist in the processing of serum and other blood products when needed

Assist on the preparation of the blood tubes for various animal facilities

Assist in the shipping of products, using the Fed ex and Up’s courier system

Sanitation of the entire Poly lab with good documentation

Documentation of refrigerator and freezer temperatures recorded daily

Sanitation practices in the shipping area and dock area.

Stocking and organizing of supplies received into the A-1 dock

Cross training with the large animal operation to assist when needed

Removal of the deceased animals from the A-1 facility fro cremation

Assist in receiving animals to the A-1 dock

Assist with nasal cell production when needed

Attending protocol meetings

Assist with SOP review and update

Week end/holiday feeding

Organization of the naïve sera freezers and refrigeratorsEducation/Qualifications:

 High school diploma.

♦ AALAS certified or pursuing AALAS certification helpful.

♦ Must be very detail oriented and organized.

 Experience:

 Experience in an lab environment preferred.

♦ Good computer skills.
