Manager, Procurement Supply Chain Operations (m/f/d) . Responsibilities

Manage, lead and execute tactical site procurement, logistics and import/export personnel for various sites. Support site level operations and requirements in compliance with the Global Procurement Policy and Strategy. Insure site level buyers are a liaison between Global Category Managers and their local stakeholders to deliver optimal quality and service at the best price through global or regional suppliers whenever possible. You will report to the Sr. Manager Global procurement supply chain operations . The following are minimum requirements related to the Manager, Procurement Supply Chain Operations position:

This position would suit an ambitious, flexible and team-orientated individual who enjoys the selling process and who is motivated to achieve results. You will also be expected to have: Act as site level procurement resource for the site as well as managing German regional site level resources delivering site supplier management, requisition review, logistics support, sourcing, etc. to assure continuous improvements in quality, supply chain and service performance, and maximize the value to CRL. Utilize and manage procurement processes (category strategy, RFP, SRM, compliance, etc.). Support development and implementation of supply chain strategy to ensure the business operational requirements are met while complying with associated legal, regulatory and quality requirements. . Provide insights on procure to pay optimization such as development of regional/global centers of excellence, spend thresholds for buyer support. Liaise with Global Category Managers to ensure local/regional requirements are considered in

broader strategies as well as sourcing events and supplier relationship management. Track and report cost savings and performance measurements against goals for all sites in remit. Assist the enforcement of Procurement and Finance policy and procedures as well as regulatory requirements such as Sarbanes Oxley requirement through various methods including system controls. Assist in creation regional / site level process documents, SOPs and work instructions as required. Support SRM process and ensure all sites are complying with the requirements as part of the overall supplier management process. Ensure site level business partners are aware of procurement standards and processes Assure the success of sourcing projects with attention to detail and communication with local stakeholders. Skilfully negotiate agreements for local / regional purchases . Resolve disputes and commercial issues with suppliers in conjunction with category leaders (where relevant) and internal customers. Support various P2P optimization projects such as Supply Chain Finance, Standard Payment Terms, New Vendor Set Up Optimization, etc. Effectively communicate within and across departments and businesses. Support the policy of equal employment opportunity through affirmative action in personnel actions. Ensure adherence to pertinent regulatory requirements and to departmental policies, practices and procedures [SOPs, safety procedures and biosafety protocols]. Perform all other related duties as assigned. . QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in a related discipline. Experience: 3+ years of related experience in purchasing, supply chain , including management and leadership experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above. Certification/Licensure: CPM preferred, APICS certification a plus. Other: Strong oral and written communication skills in German and English and interpersonal, analytical, presentation, and negotiation skills required. Must possess in-depth knowledge of P2P systems and best practice and supply chains.
