About the Position:The Director, Global Benefits and Wellness is a senior-level role overseeing and managing the organization's global Benefits and Wellness programs. The role will design and manage programs that support Total Rewards, HR, and the organization's strategic objectives.

This position can be based in our North Carolina offices (Raleigh or Wilmington) or home-based within North Carolina with ability to travel to those offices if needed.

Job Description:Designs, develops, and manages all benefit and wellness programs globally, including but not limited to health & welfare, retirement, leave, perquisites, wellness, on-site clinics, and voluntary benefit programs.Manages all benefit-related 3rd party relationships with consultants, brokers, and vendors.Provides strategic direction and acts as the lead internal benefits consultant for M&A due diligence and integration activities with PPD-owned companies.Oversees the design, development, and coordination of benefits-related marketing and communications efforts.Manages benefits-related benchmarking and develops strategic concepts and proposals for executive-level review and approval to support PPD’s vision of providing a best-in-class, differentiated and employee-centric holistic benefits offering.Manages benefit program reporting, compliance and privacy.Collaborates closely with Finance to budget and manage benefit program costs.Develops policies and procedures to ensure achievement of equitable programs for all levels of employee.Manages resource need and delivery of responsibilities, including direct line management. *LI-NA1#GDAbout PPD:PPD is a leading global contract research organization providing comprehensive, integrated drug development, laboratory and lifecycle management services. Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification

Previous related experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 12-15 years)

5 years of management responsibility

Experience with global benefit programs

Previous experience leading benefits-related due diligence and integration planning and implementing 3rd party benefits admin platform

Preferred – experience with an HR shared service center

Preferred – experience working with Oracle or other major HCM platforms (i.e. SAP, PeopleSoft, Workday etc.)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Ability to develop strategic proposals that tie into a broader Total Rewards strategy.Ability to effectively collaborate with other leaders.Demonstrated ability to train, coach and manage staffStrong business acumen with ability to understand complex organizational structures and environmentsExpert knowledge of benefit theories, principles, programs, trends and best practicesExcellent analytical and quantitative skillsAdvanced level of skill in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and presentation of dataAbility to work with ambiguity and complexityDemonstrates executive presence and strong consultation and presentation skillsAbility to influence at all levels of the organizationExcellent communication skills both written and verbalExcellent interpersonal skillsAbility to multi-task and handle pressureManagement Role:Responsible for managing a team of benefits-professionals, managing programs for multiple countries.PPD values the health and well-being of our employees.
