Das Trinken von Probiotika in Form eines Joghurtgetränks stellt normale Magen-Darm-Bakterien (GI) bei Patienten wieder her, deren Dickdarm mit Vancomycin-resistenten Enterokokken (VRE) besiedelt ist.

Einschlusskriterien:
- VRE-positive Patienten mit GI-Kolonisation
Ausschlusskriterien:
- Alter unter 18 Jahren
- Patienten, die eine Knochenmarktransplantation hatten
- Patienten mit extremem Kurzdarm (weniger als 100 cm verbleibender Dünndarm)
- Patienten mit aktiver VRE-Infektion, aber ohne GI-Kolonisation
- Patienten, die nicht essen können und keinen Zugang zu Nahrung haben
- Patienten, die keine Vollmacht haben, ihre Einwilligung zu erteilen, wenn sie dazu nicht in der Lage sind
