Å drikke probiotika i form av en yoghurtdrikk vil gjenopprette normale gastrointestinale (GI) bakterier hos pasienter hvis tykktarm er kolonisert med vankomycin-resistent enterococcus (VRE).

Inklusjonskriterier:
- VRE-positive pasienter med GI-kolonisering
Ekskluderingskriterier:
- Alder under 18 år
- Pasienter som har fått en benmargstransplantasjon
- Ekstrem korttarmpasienter (mindre enn 100 cm tynntarm igjen)
- Pasienter med aktiv VRE-infeksjon, men ingen GI-kolonisering
- Pasienter som ikke kan spise og ikke har tilgang til mat
- Pasienter som ikke har fullmakt til å gi samtykke dersom de ikke kan
