Location/Division Specific Information

The Sr. Product Specialist supports the development and launch of AI, application, and data engineering products for the Clinical Delivery Services Division, working closely with a product team to ensure that products meet customer needs and align with the company's business goals. This role is ideal for someone with foundational experience in product management or an equivalent, who is eager to grow their skills in a dynamic environment. The Sr. Product Specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams and assists in managing product development processes from concept to launch, while also handling some of the day-to-day tasks related to product management.

A day in the Life:

Product Development Support:
  • Work directly with senior product managers/specialists, designers, engineers, and other team members to support the development of new products or features.
  • Assist in creating product requirement documents, user stories, and use cases to guide the development team.

Customer and Market Research:
  • Help gather customer feedback through surveys, interviews, and user testing.
  • Conduct basic research to understand customer needs, business trends, and competitive landscapes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth communication and collaboration during product development.
  • Facilitate/participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on product strategy and development as well as document and drive actions.

Product Roadmap and Planning:
  • Assist in documenting,maintaining, and delivering to product roadmaps and timelines.
  • Track progress against key milestones and identify potential bottlenecks.

Product Launch Support:
  • Support product launch activities, including creating product documentation, coordinating with marketing, and assisting with training materials.
  • Participate in product launch events and gather post-launch feedback.

Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Help analyze product data and generate reports on product performance.
  • Use metrics and KPIs to monitor product success and suggest areas for improvement.

Continuous Learning and Development:
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in product management.
  • Seek opportunities for professional development and training to enhance product management skills.

Keys to Success:

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Marketing, Computer Science) and/or 2-3 years of experience in product management, business analysis, or a related field.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Experience with product management software (e.g., Azure Dev Ops).
  • Knowledge of customer experience and user research techniques.
  • Familiarity with project management concepts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Driven self-starter and ability to work with ambiguity to achieve success.
  • Ability to think outside of the box and creatively in both project/product management and design.
  • Basic understanding of product development processes and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
  • Proficiency in basic data analysis and familiar with tools like Excel, Google Sheets, or other data analysis software.
