The Position

In our esteemed R&D Software Engineering Tools and Infrastructure team, we have the incredible opportunity to support and empower all software engineering teams within our organization. As a distributed team, we oversee critical aspects such as infrastructure, configuration management, software tooling, process automation, and developer support for R&D organization.

We are actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced senior-level candidate to join our dynamic team. Your expertise and leadership will be instrumental in shaping and optimizing our software engineering processes, ensuring seamless operations, and encouraging innovation.

Key responsibilities include, but are not exclusively:

  • Develop and maintain infrastructure monitoring systems
  • Develop scripts for automation and software development support
  • Collaborate with software development and test teams to understand their needs
  • Transfer ideas into planning and architecture models

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science or similar (or equivalent experience)
  • Understanding of git tool and branching strategies
  • Understanding of CI tools (Jenkins, GitLab Pipelines, GitHub Actions)
  • Experience with configuration tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef) and Linux systems administration
  • Solid understanding of monitoring tools (Nagios, Grafana, Prometheus)
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes platform and containerization (docker, podman, lxc)
  • Proficient in English

Bonus skills:

  • Experience with virtualization platforms and cloud technologies (VMware, OpenStack, Azure, AWS)
  • Experience with DB engines (MySQL, PosgreSQL, other)

Competencies:

  • Support software development organization in their effort of delivering software products
  • Collaborate in the global SETI team and improve processes and services we provide
