The Position
The Operation Engineer III System Engineerwithin the Cycle Time Reduction program is focused on automation, robotization and digitization for the factory and service use cases. The key contribution is to define, create, validate and implement solutions that improves productivity and throughput in line with the Industry 4.0+ principles. Besides the technical skills the role also requires high level of dedication, passion and collaboration in the area of innovative problem solving. Handling the customer expectations and satisfaction is needed for the successful job execution.
Key responsibilities:
Automation of optical functionalities and electron beam alignments on a transmission electron microscope (TEM) in cooperation with the SW team
Operating a microscope and gathering data, their analysis and processing, creation of models encompassing the real microscope behavior
Preparation of experiments to verify the robustness, repeatability, speed and precision of the automated procedures
Optimization of the used mathematical and physical models for higher efficiency w.r.t. the desired automation behavior
Job content:
Facilitates and may lead multi-functional improvement activities and other operations projects from inception to completion
Acts as an advisor to peers and project resources to meet schedules, and goals and/or resolve technical problems
Develops close relationships with Manufacturing, Operations Engineering, GTS, PLM, Quality and R&D
Ensures that activities are carried out according to the principle of customer centric focus and “right first time” approach
Adheres to work safety, fire safety, hygiene of work, and other regulatory standards. Clean and maintained work area and consigned tools
Performs all activities according to Sarbanes-Oxley directives, rules and procedures
Other duties as assigned
General requirements:
Master's degree in a technical field, preferably: Physics, Particle optics, Mathematical or Physical Engineering, Mathematical and computational modeling in physics, etc.
Basic programming/scripting knowledge in Python, willing to expand these skills
Enthusiasm, tenacity, and a sense of seeing difficult tasks brought to completion in high-quality
Logical and analytical thinking
Sense of humor, teamwork, and also independence after being trained
Czech/Slovak and English for written and spoken communication.
Knowledge in optics or particle optics is an advantage.
Experience with operating an electron microscope is an advantage
Specific requirements:
HIhgly experienced in high-tech industry environments in service, development, or manufacturing
Demonstrated experience participating in or managing concurrent technical projects
Senior knowledge in a specialized technical field
Proven knowledge of process improvements and methods. Experience with the use of statistical process control and statistical problem solving methods, including Six-Sigma methods, is preferred
Ability to provide clear and concise analysis of data and experimental methods that may involve multiple factors
Self-starter who is also highly productive when not supervised to meet the agreed objectives
Ability to work in teams and share or learn from others
Ability to resolve issues that involve gaining the cooperation of multi-functional departments and cross-sites while cultivating relationships
Shows excellent written and verbal communication skills in peer-to-peer interaction as well as in networking with senior internal and external personnel in their own expertise area
