Job responsibilities 

  • Agile in acquiring, engineering and analyzing data from a variety of sources using Databricks, Python, SQL, Data Factory.Automate and maintain accurate data flows and models.
  • Power BI development experience, Able to build impactful, intuitive visualizations
  • Able to project manage initiatives driving communications across teams for shared prioritization and execution with support for clear roles and responsibilities tracked across project
  • Identifies, analyzes and interprets trends or patterns in complex industry and customer data sets in support of strategic and ad hoc requests as well as maintenance of existing dashboards.
  • Under the guidance and direction of Business Insights leadership, supports the development of management level presentations and reporting of data-driven insights that lead to improvement in sales performance and realization of strategic goals across the enterprise.
  • Experience in supporting high data quality standards and driving continuous improvement in both aligning with source data as well as integrating sources to report best available.
  • Able to liase with IT colleagues to solve technical challenges and define best practices with available tools
  • Supports large strategic projects and dashboards during their lifecycle including gathering requirements, project planning, progress tracking, evaluation of success metrics and status reporting.
  • Ensures ongoing department reporting related to enterprise objectives and surfacing strong potential opportunities as well as analysis of industry trends are aligned with both Business Insights team needs as well as stakeholder self-service.
  • Identifies opportunities to streamline / automate and efficiently produce information for ongoing requests.  Supports the integration of data sets for more comprehensive customer and competitive insights.
  • Promotes and contributes to a team environment by sharing successful ideas and supporting analysis with colleagues in order to further the groundwork for standardization and continuity of reports within the organization to drive credibility.
  • Integral member of a positive, results orientated work environment while building partnerships through teamwork and communicating in an open, balanced and objective manner.  Viewed as a positive change agent while demonstrating collaboration across the business.

Qualifications

  • What we’re looking for
  • BA/BS degree in a science or business-related field, or equivalent related education and experience, plus moderate experience in a data analysis function, or equivalent education and experience with some data analysis experience preferred. 
  • Experience in the Contract Research Organization (CRO) or pharmaceutical industry preferred, or comparable experience 
  • Expert in Power BI development, Data Engineering and experience in deploying AI is a plus
  • Experience with data cleansing, formatting and evaluating data integrity to facilitate deep analysis, market data and /or business intelligence information preferred. 
  • Predictive modelling and data model experience preferred
  • Possesses a strong understanding of data organization / structure. Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Salesforce, Power BI, Azure, web-based systems, voicemail, Email and Internet are necessary. 
  • Proficient Business Intelligence skills in visualization tools, including Tableau, Business Objects, Qlikview, (Power BI preferred).  
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, analytical ability and demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential.  
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, meet deadlines, follow-up, and coordinated multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Flexibility and the ability to handle multiple tasks to meet deadlines while delivering high quality work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment are essential.

Prior experience in a global team preferred
