Account Director Patient Support and Adherence

IQVIA’s Medical and Patient Communications group, a full-service communications agency, is looking for an Account Director to handle the day to day management of our growing portfolio of Patient Strategy and Support Programme accounts. The successful candidate will support our Account Management Directors to deliver insight and data driven patient programmes, coordinating with subject matter experts to pull together IQVIA's unique blend of capabilities in insights and research, behavioural science, operational know how through our worldwide nurse educator services and real world evidence, to deliver truly innovative new programmes.

As an experienced account handler in the patient space, you will responsibility and for the day to day direction, delivery and financial growth and management of a portfolio of Patient Support and Adherence accounts  leading the account team to achieve quality, effectiveness and organic growth goals

  • Provide strategic counsel and guidance to clients, cultivating strong, long-term relationships with clients and assisting them to achieve their goals through the proposal and development of high-quality communications solutions
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of customer organisations and high visibility within them, generating quality contact with client stakeholders both within client teams and across product franchises. Raise the profile of Communications team and IQVIA within target client companies
  • Provide strategic direction on allocated accounts encompassing all aspects of program / project development using knowledge of market issues, company and strategic project objectives. Link in with IQVIA service offerings where appropriate to ensure the most successful solutions for clients.
  • Work closely with project management team to ensure the delivery of agreed solution and take overall responsibility for the quality of deliverables and outputs ensuring client satisfaction and compliance with our SOPs
  • Review financial performance of allocated client portfolio, including meeting sales, servicing, profitability targets and obtaining budget sign off prior to senior review
  • Proactively initiate actions to maximise growth and profitability of accounts
  • Contribute to accounts’ new business development targets and in association with MPC leadership team, develop targeted action plans to grow existing business and identify new business opportunities
  • Participate in proposal development and sales / proposal presentations
  • Proactively participate and lead appropriate client discussions
  • Identify opportunities for business growth through on existing accounts
  • Maintain general knowledge of all Medical and Patient Communications services for appropriate cross-sell opportunities
  • Participate in relevant industry forums and establish a reputation and network within the wider marketing communications industry


REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Excellent understanding of biopharmaceutical lifecycle strategy as it pertains to Patient and wider Medical Communications
  • Proven experience in delivering Patient Insights, Journey Mapping, Strategy and Programme Design services in a communications agency setting
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent computer literacy, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to collaborate and work effectively through others in a global environment to deliver results
  • Effective management skills in a matrix environment with proven people management skills
  • Demonstrated track record of proactive risk management
  • Good strategic thinking ability and ability to apply organizationally
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong Negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated track record of good judgment and decision making skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
