Director, Product Marketing

Objective:

Individual is responsible for the overall strategy and implementation of marketing plans and goals for the [Planning and Design Suite] of products within IQVIA Clinical Technologies.  Defines the overall marketing strategy and implementation for the ‘Suite’ to help drive awareness of and generate qualified leads to help achieve the overall business plan to meet corporate goals. Creates and oversees the execution of marketing campaigns based on priorities, launch announcements and customer needs.

Essential Functions

• Determine the key customer needs/challenges across the business line and lead the communication of the offering(s) and components (data, products and services) to targeted audience(s).
• Developing go-to-market strategy, including product positioning, messaging, value proposition, customer targets) to help grow this business area.
• Ensure positioning effectively supports the Suite of offerings and are aligned with other products within the Suite and across the Orchestrated Clinical Technology Suite of solutions.
• Collaborate with product owners and other Product Marketers – across Clinical Technologies and RDS – to ensure cohesive set of offerings, build integrated messaging and to maximize targeted market penetration.
• Execute planned campaigns, events, sales deliverables, digital assets including web pages, SEO, SEM, social media campaigns to drive the awareness and generate Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) to help grow the business pipeline of opportunities.
• Direct appropriate product research and input necessary to develop successful offering strategy.
• Develop and lead the implementation of the defined marketing strategy, including budget and timeline creation.
• Work cross-functionally to implement and optimize strategy, including other Clin Tech, IQVIA Tech and RDS marketers.
• Report on status of deliverables, campaigns, leads, new opportunities to management team.
• Conduct competitive research/surveillance and factor into ongoing strategy to maximize marketing’s impact.
• Contribute to thought leadership for this problem space in the market by identifying appropriate opportunities for IQVIA Technology leadership team.

Skill and Abilities

• 7-10 years’ experience with demonstrated success in marketing strategy, new product introductions and market expansion, ideally in life sciences technology.
• Requires an in-depth knowledge of the Pharmaceutical industry, more specifically the clinical development process.
• Skilled at managing in a highly-matrix environment and achieving results.
• Strong consultative skills and collaborations skills across organizations.
• Strong demonstration of the ability to build business partnerships, effectively interact with senior management and lead others.
• Ability to motivate and inspire others in the achievement of business goals.
• Strong technology background
