AWS DevOps Architect

The Individual in this role is responsible for implementing Dev Ops best practices at an enterprise level. We are driving towards full automation of our CI/CD pipeline including standing up infrastructure in AWS via terraform. We are looking for individuals with an aversion to manual processes and a strong desire to automate. The candidate should be self-motivated with the ability to adapt and improvise in various situations. You should be an expert in navigating through ambiguity and prioritizing conflicting tasks. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Automate infrastructure in Amazon Web Services with Terraform by writing robust, easily consumable, standardized modules that can be incorporated into an existing CI/CD process. Review application requirements for proposed architectures to assure that they meet existing Labcorp standard terraform modules/components. Identify gaps in our product offering and analyze the ability to deliver on project applications needs within the project's proposed deadline. Work with project stakeholders to deliver robust, standardized applications in AWS using terraform. Identify engineering defects in the existing terraform code base and constantly improve the code quality Update the terraform modules to assure that they run under the latest AWS provider and terraform releases. Work with project teams to integrate the updated modules into their release cycles. Performs code reviews. Support DevOps operations by integrating developed IaC into CI/CD pipeline builds Write documentation as needed to support consumption of Labcorp standard modules. Educate Dev Ops project engineers on how to consume, configure and customize Labcorp standard terraform modules to meet project needs. License/Certification/Education: Normally requires a B.S. Degree in Computer Science with 10 years of experience in related field. At least 10 years of experience as a Dev Ops engineer.
