Programmer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The role is for a Project Based to our Data Management department in PI. The work done by the Data Management department involves creating the possibility to collect primary market research information in a database. This includes creating an electronic version of a word questionnaire by script writing and thereby creating the logic that will apply when the questionnaire is filled in by the physician or interviewer in close connection with the analyst department.

Programming demands a good level of General IT knowledge, as well as a high level of competency in database programming usingPHP (Perl Hypertext Pre-processor), JS script, HTML, etc.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Review survey text and programming notes of an MS Word questionnaire, assess survey complexity and decide on the scripting platform to use

·       Participate in kick-off calls scheduled by project stakeholder (PI, PM) to understand the flow of the survey in detail and to raise clarifications (if any)

·       Script the survey using the most appropriate platform

·       Conduct self-testing of the survey and generate links for testing by PI/PM

·       Address feedback to the survey by revising script; finalize script once sign-off has been received from PI/PM

·       Generate live links; set up and review relevant quota and redirect links from fieldwork vendor

·       Participate in peer-testing of other surveys

·       Coordinate with project stakeholders (PI, PM, Data processing team) for other survey-related needs such as exporting data files and data maps

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• IT/Computer Science Graduate (technical background relevant to programming)
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
• Minimum 2-4 years experience in survey programming
• Working knowledge of any programming tools like ConfirmIT, Qualtrics, Decipher etc is good to have
• At least 2 years of experience in primary market research
• Intermediate or advanced Excel skills
• Understanding of healthcare sector is added advantage
• Good analytical capabilities in order to interpret client requirements and design relevant solutions based on available data
• Good interpersonal skills
• Good communication skills appropriate to a global working environment
• Disciplined, self-motivated and able to operate effectively as part of a team; must enjoy the challenge of change
