Position Summary:

As the primary liaison / point of contact for the Microbiology Division (MBD) operations out of the 3rd party Distribution center based at Nijmegen in the Netherlands. Responsible for daily liaison between MBD and DHL to enable smooth information flow on communications, operational critical metrics and customer concerns to ensure the highest level of service. Based on site they will be focused on ensuring stock availability and accuracy to enable high Customer service, high LOTIF performance and low backorders.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Daily checking of IDOCs ensuring swift resolution of issues to support stock integrity.
  • Regular collaboration with Customer Service function across multiple regions.
  • Timely investigation and resolution of inventory discrepancies
  • Actively participate in daily tier meetings to address any potential issues.
  • Daily reporting on important metrics including:
    • On time dispatch
    • Stock accuracy
    • Inbound dock to stock time
    • Spoilage
    • Scrap execution
  • Act as main contact point for urgent order queries.
  • Collaboration with the planning and purchasing teams to ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained of manufactured and 3rd Party products.
  • Work with site operations team to develop cycle counting process aligned with policy ensuring regular reporting.
  • Compiling and distribution of regular reporting on operational and financial performance
  • Management of Quality Notifications (QNs) and CAS feedback for any orders fulfilled by the 3PL to a satisfactory resolution.
  • Monitors volume trending and reports back to the business.
  • Leads scrap process ensuring timely authorizations, transacting, and reporting.
  • Builds alliances across all functions to ensure the goals and performance support the business goals and commitments.
  • Performs all job duties in a safe manner, consistent with the Code of Ethics and the 4-I Values.
  • Performs other duties and cross training as assigned.
  • Provide DHL with a rolling 3-month volume forecast to ensure adequate resources.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years Warehouse leadership experience or equivalent educated to degree level with 5 years relevant management experience.
  • Strong understanding of the manufacturing operational environments including internal and external customer demands.
  • Excellent communication skills. Being confident in talking to customers (internally and externally) across the business while understanding their needs and demands,
  • Knowledge and understanding of SAP and order management processes and how accuracy of stock levels is paramount to maintaining effective and efficient inventory control. 
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • A continuous process improvement approach with the ability to efficiently lead and handle change.
