PURPOSE
As the Oncology Therapeutic Strategy Director you will be serving as a therapy area and operational expert throughout the new business and program/project delivery lifecycle for Therapeutically Aligned Oncology clinical trials. 

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Accountable for creating effective delivery strategies and solutions for large, complex, multi-service, multi-region studies or programs.
• You will address the specific needs and challenges of each customer and working cross functionally on the award of strategic and tactical new business to achieve business targets.
• To work alongside the project delivery team assigned to understand and implement the project plan and evaluate and recommend effective adjustments to strategy as required.
• You will support long term business growth through collaboration with our Centres of Excellence and other partners.
• To collaborate with Sales to evaluate and manage new opportunities such as stand-alone programs and projects, requests for information (RFI), capabilities and early engagement from customers.
• To work with key internal partners to analyse information and data that enables development of efficient and feasible delivery solutions. This could include, protocol feasibility and risk management, identification of target site and principal investigator profiles, optimal country and site distributions, site initiation and patient recruitment modelling, assessment and management of the competitive landscape.
• To develop and review a competitive budget in line with margin targets and pricing strategy agreed.
• Review internally and approve the strategy before proposals are issued to customers including presentations to senior leadership.
• Define and communicate the project team that will meet the customer’s needs and successfully secure the project award.
• Guide and mentor assigned Project Leader through a comprehensive handover of the project strategy.
• Support Sales in the preparation and conduct of customer and bid defence meetings and coordinate with them to complete follow up actions identified.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
We need someone to embed themselves as an IQVIA expert in relation to Oncology Strategy Lead responsibilities. You will need to understand our services, product offerings, the status and trends in the Oncology landscape and the innovations in clinical trial methodology. Alongside this you will have comprehensive global knowledge and awareness, of the pharma industry, drug development lifecycle and operational clinical trial delivery.

As a specialist in your Therapeutic Area of Oncology you can demonstrate the ability to understand customer needs and be able to have difficult conversations with internal/external partners and customers to negotiate solutions. A creative and strategic thinker with exceptional leadership and influencing skills.

Minimum Required Education and Experience
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited and internationally recognized university with ideally 10+ years’ experience working on and around clinical trials with a strong focus on your Therapeutic Area studies.
