Assoc Principal, Tech Solutions

Job Overview
The Associate Principal will help to lead IQVIA Canada’s business intelligence & data visualization go-to-market efforts with life sciences clients. Working with a team of engagement managers and developers, this individual will leverage prior client relationships and forge new relationships in order to identify opportunities, lead proposal development and secure client wins. The successful candidate will maintain high-level of client satisfaction for all customers, both during solution implementation and in the post-implementation period to ensure solution entrenchment.  The individual will have to work in a coordinated and collaborative manner across multiple teams and work streams.  

Principal Responsibilities:

• Works with the cross-functional account teams to build relationships with customers – focusing on executives, senior business analytics leaders and commercial operations roles in Canadian life sciences customers
• Works to understand customer requirements, their challenges with their current reporting & analytics tools and identifies opportunities for IQVIA solutions
• Presents thought leadership and innovative business intelligence and data visualization solutions to Canadian life sciences customers
• Brings to market novel data visualization and business intelligence offerings in collaboration with IQVIA’s AIML leadership team 
• Collaborates with international colleagues responsible for the similar scope of solutions
• Engages with IQVIA’s global product teams to advocate for solution enhancements which meet Canadian market needs and realities
• Creates presentations and detailed planning documents for clients and internal stakeholders
• Works with other data visualization and business intelligence team members (both globally and locally), as well as information management/MDM/data warehousing team members in a cohesive, supportive and collaborative fashion to ensure client needs are at the center of all proposed solutions

Minimum Education, Experience, & Specialized Knowledge Required:

• Bachelor’s degree with 6 – 10 years of related experience in technology consulting, pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry.
• 3-5 years of business intelligence and data visualization experience, leading the design and implementation of solutions
• Possesses advanced client negotiation and relationship building skills
• Significant understanding of the application of AIML methods to support business analytics in life sciences and/or healthcare
• Understanding of the intricacies, uses and value of the IQVIA datasets
• Strong organizational skills to oversee multiple simultaneous client engagements from technology solution blueprint to implementation
• Supervise day-to-day work of multiple work streams and teams spread across functions
• Ability to motivate, lead, coordinate teams without having direct reporting lines
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Deliver technical presentations appropriately tailored to audience
• Technically advanced, but can translate technical requirements and approaches for non-technical audiences
• Knowledge of standard project management frameworks and processes
• Good understanding of the connected internal roles across Sales and Delivery
• Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry
• Familiarity with general internal sales & marketing processes for pharma-sector clients
• Substantial experience in managing complex, multi-tiered technology implementations
