Finance Manager, Corporate FP&A

Job Overview:

The Manager, Finance, Corporate FP&A, will be a key member of the Corporate FP&A team, supporting the continuous development of reporting and analytics to ensure timely and relevant financial information that support executive decision making.  This role will specifically be responsible for preparing and enhancing standard monthly reporting packages, as well as undertaking associated analysis to help assess performance, and support in the identification of opportunities and risks, of IQVIA business units (BU’s) and offering segments.  The role will also play a key part in co-ordinating the preparation of financials presented each month to the CFO, including development of the reporting materials.  In addition, the role will have P&L responsibility for merger integration and acquisition related expenses, including reporting of actuals, budgeting and forecasting.  The role will also support in the Annual Planning cycle, as well as various ad-hoc reporting and analysis. 

Responsibilities:
•    Ownership of standard monthly reporting packages, including a focus on assessing continuous improvement in Corporate reporting analytics, including the use of forward-looking metrics (e.g. backlog, pipeline coverage), ratio’s (e.g. gross margin, labor costs per FTE) and benchmarking (e.g. SG&A costs by BU).  Support the development of analytics that help identify areas of opportunity and risk that have an impact on externally reported financial metrics
•    Co-ordination of monthly forecast review meeting with CFO, including preparation, distribution, consolidation and review of reporting materials across the business units
•    P&L responsibility for merger integration and acquisition related expense, including budgeting and forecasting, as well as provision of analysis to support external reporting  
•    Review and analysis on acquisition performance, including tracking performance vs. business and assessing key drivers
•    Support management of annual IQVIA Plan cycle, including co-ordination of Plan submission process, and associated reporting
•    Preparation of standard financial reporting materials and metrics for IQVIA Operating Reviews for all business units
•    Support Corporate FP&A finance leadership team in other key activities such as Operating Review template preparation and support in quarterly external reporting preparation, as well as any other ad-hoc business needs

Education, Experience & Skills:
•    Qualified Chartered Accountant (CPA or other professional financial qualification) with minimum 4-5 years’ of progressively responsible experience in the finance function
•    Strong knowledge of US GAAP and accounting standards, internal controls best practice and SOX compliance
•    Expertise in financial systems, including ERP applications and reporting suites such as Hyperion
•    High level of attention to detail and accuracy, as well as the ability to work independently and to tight timelines
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as strong leadership and focus
•    Strong project management skills and the ability to translate financial data into actionable analysis and insights
•    High level of integrity and self-confidence
