Principal Software Engineer, MDM

Parexel is looking for a Principal Developer that will be responsible for supporting the delivery of Master Data Management services to enhance business capabilities in a fast paced environment. The candidate will work with project leads, analysts, and developers to understand business challenges and design / build master data solutions.

The successful candidate will have technical leadership experience, be able to multi-task, engage with techno-functional team members in a matrixed environment, and have a strong understanding of MDM concepts, data modeling, and entity relationship diagrams.

Roles / Responsibilities:Analyzes, estimates and defines project tasks.Performs and/or leads design, coding, testing, implementation, and documentation of solution.Mentors colleagues on design, code, testing, and process for skill uplift.Develops basic and detailed program specifications.Ensures that expected application performance levels are achieved.Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents, maintains, and modifies solutions of high complexity, significance, and risk.Investigate, analyze, and resolve complex technical problems.Proactively identifies opportunities for improvement and recommends technical solutions.Demonstrates good understanding of the business needs driving the projects.Create automated processes for ingesting master data from source systems into our MDM hub.Perform data quality profiling processes, and measure data quality statistics.Partner with business-embedded data stewards to resolve data quality issues.Document requirements, build data flows, and establish acceptance criteria to be used with test cases to ensure Business and IT Data is Fit-for-Purpose.Partner with Data Governance colleagues to collect metadata, review profiling results, and document issues.Engage with Data Owners, Data Stewards, Technology Partners, and Vendor Contractors to achieve expected business outcomesProvide status on assigned work items and deliver in a timely manner to project teams.Participate as a team member of the multi-functional data analytics team.Participate in process improvements, including process definition, measurement analysis, and implementation of controls.#ITDurhamQualificationsRequired Qualifications7+ years as a data analyst or developer with a specialization in master data management3+ years of Agile Methodology experienceDemonstrated experience with Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) including the development of Trust, Match, and Merge rulesFull understanding of various MDM domains like Customer, Site, Project and Organization and their data modelsExperience in establishing Guidelines, frameworks, and best practices for Data GovernanceExperience with ETL tools, SQL and PL/SQL Knowledge of Web Services, XML, SOAP, REST, integration middleware such as MulesoftUnderstanding of addressing and metadata standardsKnowledge of cloud and on-premise integration architecture patternsHands-on experience with Informatica Data Quality, Reltio and/or other MDM tools.Experience in the CRO industry desired.EEO DisclaimerParexel is an equal opportunity employer.  Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to legally protected status, which in the US includes race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
