Director, Interoperability and Engagement

The IHP Director of Interoperability and Engagement is a key member of the practice team and is responsible for leading the creation, expansion, and maintenance of the IHP Site Interoperability Network.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Achieving agreed upon network growth and retention targets
• Managing the queue of Site Engagement opportunities across all IHP customers
• Leading and/or participating in customer-specific Site Engagement meetings
• Coordinating with IHP Interoperability Implementation team(s) and IHP Interoperability Partners to ensure successful integration with each site for each customer use case is achieved
• Coordinating with practice leadership and operational counterparts to respond to GTM opportunities (e.g., RFIs, RFPs, Proposals, Bid Defenses)
• Collaborating with technical counterparts to communicate Interoperability and Site Engagement feature needs and opportunities for improvement or enhancement in future releases
• Mentoring and coaching a quickly evolving team of interoperability and site engagement staff that is facilitating modern integration in a rapidly transforming data landscape
• Drafting reusable (preferred) and ad hoc (as needed) Site Engagement support materials

Qualifications:
• Robust IT-related Site Engagement experience
• Expertise in US and ex-US interoperability regulations and standards
• Demonstrated familiarity with electronic health records systems and data access
• Familiarity with healthcare workflows, system operations, data requirements, and relevant privacy regulations, including US HIPAA and EU GDPR
• Familiarity with clinical research workflows, system operations, data requirements, and relevant privacy regulations, including US 21CFR11 and EU Annex 11
• Ability to develop and champion robust business cases supporting the practice offerings
• Strong written and verbal communication (English, additional languages preferred)
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate clearly to non-technical audiences
• Demonstrable ability to deliver results that meet defined quality and timeline metrics

Minimum Required Education and Experience
• BS or equivalent (MS or equivalent in Clinical Informatics or related field preferred)
• Demonstrable experience as a Senior-level Business Analyst, Product Owner, and/or Consultant in the IT, Healthcare, and/or Research sector(s)
• Demonstrable expertise in electronic health information and its applications
