Job Title: Full Stack Web Applications Developer, UK

Contract: Permanent

Location: Homebased, UK

IQVIA is looking for a Full Stack Web Applications Developer to join the UK, Patient Centred Technologies team

About the Team

Our development group is a small but elite team of developers that are working to bring modern solutions to the medical software industry. We have created a sophisticated product that uses modern JavaScript (e6+) and scales out with distributed back-end services.  

Role Summary

We are looking for self-motivated developers that like to get out of their comfort zone to help build out and add new features and further scale our application to meet market demands. As a full stack developer in a growing team you will be playing a key part in developing solutions that interact directly with patients. These solutions capture information that directly impacts their health and care.

Responsibilities

  • Program, test, and document front-end applications for an enterprise platform used in clinical trials, clinical studies and registries.
  • Program API calls to remote servers
  • Program services used in distributed applications
  • Participate in database design, development, and support
  • Understand and comply with core operating procedures and working instructions
  • Meet objectives as assigned and interact with the project team and clients to organise timelines, responsibilities and deliverables
  • Develop and maintain good communications and working relationships with local and remote software development teams

Skills, Education and Experience Required:

  • Moderate commercial experience
  • Strong skills and experience in object orientated programming in various languages including C# and VB.NET
  • Must have Front end design implementation, using HTML and CSS
  • Essential responsive web site design
  • Use of .NET technologies including ASP.NET, MVC and UnitTesting framework
  • Experience in working with service-based technologies: SOAP, XML, REST
  • Advanced client-side scripting using various versions of JavaScript
  • Used to complex SQL using MSSQL Server technologies, performance optimisation and stored procedures
  • Good communication skills with the ability to contribute ideas effectively amongst internal teams.
  • Fluency in English and eligible to live and work in the UK without VISA sponsorship

Desirable Skills:

  • JQuery/NodeJS/Typescript
  • Use of Nuget package management
  • Aware of CI/CD pipelines and scripting technologies such as Power shell
  • Virtual server configuration using technologies such as AWS
  • Database clustering strategies
  • Windows Server Configuration
  • Web server configuration for web farming or similar
  • Software design with the ability to join dots as well as implementing and identifying improvements without creating technical debt
  • Experience in Agile software development methodologies
