Job Overview:

The GRIDDS (Graphical Review Interface for Dynamic Data Services) Lead is responsible for coordinating programming activities for graphical data visualization though tools such as JReview and Spotfire in addition to SAS.

This is a client facing role that gives the opportunity to work with a variety of functions and client groups within the organization.

As a Senior Statistical Programmer, you will provide experienced technical expertise to develop process methodology for department to meet internal and external clients’ needs.

Plan and coordinate the development of integrated programming solutions serving data visualization needs.

Provide technical expertise and leadership to the department and provide consulting services, including specifications and user needs analysis for project or client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define the scope of work in collaboration with internal and external clients.

  • Provide technical expertise to develop and maintain programs to meet internal and external clients’ needs.

  • Plan and lead the development of project-related solutions

  • Perform and plan:

  • The programming, testing, and documentation of programs for use in creating graphical data visualizations e.g.: tables, figures, listing and patient profiles

  • The programming of derived datasets and graphical data visualizations

  • The programming quality control checks for the source data and report the data issues periodically.

  • Detect errors in detail and correct them (e.g., reviews visualizations, outputs and SAS programs to ensure quality of deliverables

  • Ability to interpret project level requirements and develop programming specifications for complex studies

  • Perform and plan the development, implementation and validation of new process technologies, macros and applications.

  • Fulfil project responsibilities at the level of technical team lead for single complex studies or group of studies 

  • Directly communicate with internal and client tool users and clinical team members to ensure appropriate understanding of requirements and project timelines

  • Estimate programming scope of work, manage resource assignments, communicate project status and negotiate/re-negotiate project timelines for deliverables.

  • Understand the Scope of Work, budget, and quote assumptions, estimate the work completed, manage Out of Scope and resource forecasts for studies. 

  • Lead programming teams on multiple projects and managing projects at a group level

  • Manage project budget and monthly finance activities and provide resourcing forecasts for single studies

  • Provide training and mentoring to client and internal team members 

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of programming and/or clinical drug development process 

  • 5+ years’ experience as technical team lead, directly engaging clients, within the Life Science industry

  • Ability to work on and lead multiple projects, plan, organize and prioritize activities

  • In-depth knowledge of applicable clinical research regulatory requirements, i.e., Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) guidelines 

  • Ability to independently manage multiple tasks and projects 

  • Working knowledge of Base SAS, SAS/STAT and SAS Macro Language
