In return, we’ll help you build a career that you can feel passionate about. Job Summary We are seeking a Lab Coordinator I for our Discovery site located in South San Francisco. 

The individual in this position will be responsible for supporting the operation of all site laboratories.  This position requires attention to detail and the ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of people.  The position operates in a fast paced environment where the commitment to teamwork, quality, and speed is essential.  

  Receipt and accensioning of Biological Samples and reference standards. Coordinate Delivery and return of Samples.  IATA standard for dangerous goods regulations. Responsible for disposal of samples. Conduct monthly lab safety inspectioins.  Inventory of Lab supplies. Conduct Bi-Annual defrosts of all ULT storage Units

The following are minimum qualifications related to the Lab Coordinator I position:

  Education:  High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.). Associate’s degree (A.A./A.S.) preferred. Experience:  Minimum 1 year related experience related laboratory experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical or contract laboratory environment. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above. Certification/Licensure:  None. Other:  Must be detail-oriented and have general familiarity with lab procedures. Good verbal communication skills required. Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines under minimal direction. Basic computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office software.
